PotA'Gold Golden Retrievers was established in 1980, by my Mom Patty Potter. Its now my Mom and I Holly Gooder-Roark. Our first Golden Retriever was Gold Country's Summer Love "Summer", Summer was the start of our lines, she produced two Champions CH PotA'Gold Head Of TH' Class "Murphy" and CH PotA'Gold Step Aside Please "Chase". Chase was in the Dog Show Hall Of Fame and won two Award Of Merits at Madison Square Garden, Chase was owned by Sheila Buetler. Summer produced wonderful loving temperaments that have passed on through the generations of our Golden Retriever puppies. Summer was the start of our lines and also the start for me in the show ring, I started showing when I was five years old in Junior Showmanship.
In 2005, we received our first Standard Wire Hair Dachshund "Magee" CH Stefra's Aloysius Magee Of Raydachs. They are such a wonderful breed, so loving.
Here at PotA'Gold we strive to breed for the standard of Golden Retrievers, our priority's are health, temperament and beauty. We are always trying to improve the breed. We due all clearances on our dogs before they are bred. OFA,CERF. Puppies have dew claws removed, they are wormed and have first set of shots. Our Golden Retriever puppies raised with my kids and are very well socialized.
